About The Club

The Army Golf Club WA was formed prior to Vietnam in 1963 by a couple of Sergeants within the western region who spent their Wednesday afternoon sporties chasing the little white ball around the course.

It has since evolved into a well organised and run Golf Club with a Constitution and By-Laws governing the week to week running of the club. Current membership is around forty, comprised of current servicemen, ex-servicemen, and members of the community who have no connection with the military (aka civilians).

We play (friendly) club competition every Wednesday afternoon. Our home course is Hamersley, and we also play regularly at Wembley and Collier Park. Through our affiliation with the West Australian Golf League (WAGL) our members also participate in a number of tournaments at other clubs, and we usually have a team entered in the WAGL winter pennants.

Camaraderie, good humour, friendship, and fellowship are the cornerstones of the club. We welcome anyone who is interested in playing the game in a friendly sociable atmosphere. Fixture details and contact details are on this web site, so just turn up about 45 minutes before tee off, or use the links in 'Contact Us' to get more information.

We welcome visitors so come play a round - you won't be disappointed.
