ECLECTIC RULES

 

General.  The Eclectic Trophy is a novelty event which involves the scoring of the best score on each hole at the home course by the player for the entire season up until the cut off date set by the Match Committee. The Handicapper will administer the competition.

 

Qualification.   Any financial member is eligible to win the competition.

                                   

Rules for Play.  The rules for the competition are as follows:

 

a.         Every individual round played on the home course can be used for scoring purposes. Team events will not be counted;

 

b.         A spreadsheet showing all the players and all of the holes will be maintained showing the best score for each hole. As players achieve a lower score on any given hole, the spreadsheet is to be updated;

 

c.         At the conclusion of the competition (date set by the Match Committee), the winner will be the person with the best Nett score. NOTE: Half the handicap of the player is subtracted from the gross score in order to calculate the Nett score.
